Cost of Trade is an informational platform that aggregates publicly available US equity exchange fee schedules, SEC regulatory filings, and related data. The Service includes tools for browsing, comparing, and analysing this data, including an AI-assisted query feature (“Fee Lab”).

The information provided on Cost of Trade is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or trading advice.

Exchange fee schedules change frequently. While we endeavour to keep data current through automated scraping, we make no guarantee that the information displayed is complete, accurate, or up to date. Always verify fee information directly with the relevant exchange before making trading or business decisions.

AI-generated responses in Fee Lab are based on the data available in our system and may contain errors. Do not rely on Fee Lab output for compliance, regulatory, or financial decisions without independent verification.

To access certain features (Fee Lab, saved charts), you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent authentication or access controls
• Scrape or systematically download data in bulk without written permission
• Use automated tools to generate excessive API requests that degrade service for other users
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without authorisation
• Submit content that is false, misleading, or intended to deceive

The exchange fee data displayed on this Service is sourced from public exchange filings and SEC regulatory documents. We do not claim ownership of that underlying data.

The software, design, and presentation layer of this Service are proprietary to Cost of Trade. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.

The Service uses third-party providers including Supabase, Vercel, and Anthropic. Your use of Fee Lab involves sending query text to Anthropic’s API, which is subject to Anthropic’s own terms of use. By using Fee Lab you agree to comply with those terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COST OF TRADE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction.
