How often is fee data updated?

Fee schedules are scraped automatically every day. Changes are tracked and visible on the Fee Changes page. For the most current rates, always verify directly with the exchange.

Where does the data come from?

All fee data is sourced from publicly available exchange fee schedules and SEC regulatory filings (SR- filings). We do not use proprietary or licensed data feeds.

How accurate is the data?

We make every effort to parse and present fee schedules accurately, but exchange documents can be complex and change frequently. This tool is for informational purposes — always confirm rates directly with the exchange before making business decisions.

What is Fee Lab?

Fee Lab is an AI-assisted query interface that lets you ask questions about exchange fee data in plain English. It is available to all registered users at no charge.

Can I access the data via API?

Yes. Registered users can generate an API key from the Fee Lab section to query our data programmatically or connect via an MCP-compatible client such as Claude Desktop.

I see an error in a fee schedule. How do I report it?

Please email us with the exchange name, fee type, and what you believe is incorrect. We investigate and correct data errors promptly.

My company network is blocking this site. What can I do?

Cost of Trade is a legitimate financial data aggregation service. If your network security tool is blocking access, ask your IT or security team to whitelist costoftrade.com. You can also point them to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service as supporting documentation.
